Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking experienced Manual Welders to join our team!

As a Manual Welder, you will perform MIG welding operations to fabricate metal components and assemblies according to specifications. You'll work from blueprints, welding symbols, work instructions, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to produce quality parts while maintaining company safety and productivity standards.
Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components and assemblies.
Set up welding equipment and adjust welding parameters based on material type, thickness, and job requirements.
Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, job specifications, and work instructions.
Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and established welding standards.
Position, align, fit, and weld components according to specifications.
Inspect completed welds and finished parts for quality and conformance to specifications.
Use gauges and precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and weld quality.
Identify and correct basic welding defects or quality concerns.
Grind, clean, and prepare welded components as required.
Maintain welding equipment and report equipment concerns or needed repairs.
Accurately complete required production and quality documentation.
Maintain company standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
Keep the work area and equipment clean and organized.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
3 years of welding experience preferred.
Must successfully complete Metalcraft's internal welding test.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Welding certificate or degree preferred.
Experience with MIG welding and general fabrication processes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
Knowledge of welding procedures, equipment, and setup parameters.
Ability to use precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
Basic shop math skills.
Basic computer skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work efficiently in a production environment.
